Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality clinical pharmacy services to patients receiving treatment at medical oncology centres.

  • Dispense medication, including chemotherapy, to patients and conduct clinical review of treatment orders in MOSAIQ.
  • Approve chemotherapy orders for preparation or supply and release aseptically prepared products.
  • Manage inventory and process pharmacy invoices, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Provide medication counselling and participate in pre-admission clinics, fostering strong relationships with patients and colleagues alike.

The successful candidate will have:

  • General unrestricted pharmacy registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A commitment to patient-focussed pharmacy practice, prioritizing patient care and well-being.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical pharmacy experience, preferably in an oncology/haematology setting, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality services.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Ability to coordinate clinical pharmacy services, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
