Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our dynamic team. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide high-quality in-home support services to our valued customers, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to build rapport with customers, and possess good written and verbal communication skills. They will also be comfortable using technology, such as mobile apps, for accessing rosters and recording customer notes/feedback.

Duties and Responsibilities:

">

- Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, grooming, and medication management
- Assist with social support and transportation for social activities, shopping, groceries, and medical appointments
- Perform domestic assistance tasks, such as light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Support customers in the use of aids and personal equipment
- Monitor the well-being of customers and report on their progress
- Provide updates on customer progress following each service

Requirements:

- Good interpersonal skills and written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to build rapport and work effectively with customers
- Comfortable using technology, such as mobile apps, for accessing rosters and recording customer notes/feedback
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
- COVID-19 vaccination (if relevant)
- Current First Aid certificate/CPR
- Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
- Smart phone with internet access
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services (preferred)
