Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Systems Assurance Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Health and Safety function, you will be responsible for improving Health and Safety compliance by developing, implementing, and maintaining our Health and Safety Management System.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a Health and Safety Management System that meets legislative, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Ensure conformance with regulatory requirements and streamline the Health and Safety management system for team usability.
  • Liaise with external providers for compliance audits and execute Health and Safety improvement programs.
  • Design, develop, and deliver practical Health and Safety assurance programs in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Develop and use Health and Safety Information Management Systems and data analysis.
  • Engage with stakeholders to inspire and motivate performance and drive positive change in HSE culture.
  • Manage relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.

Requirements

  • Experience in construction or other high-risk industries.
  • Executing system improvement, auditing, reporting, and risk management.
  • Experience with ISO45001 and/or Integrated Management System and FSC audits.
  • Ability to design, develop, and deliver practical Health and Safety assurance programs.
  • Proficiency in developing and using Health and Safety Information Management Systems and data analysis.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Advanced skills in relationship-building and communication.
  • In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
