Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our nursing telehealth department as the Head of Telehealth Operations. This is a key role that requires a strategic leader who can enhance the quality of patient care services while maintaining a strong commercial orientation and establishing appropriate performance metrics to drive efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Strategic Plans: Develop and execute strategic plans for the clinic and department, aligning with overall business objectives and ensuring seamless execution of our business strategy within a clinical framework.
  • Optimize Nursing Operations: Implement practices to optimize nursing operations, including workflows, technology enablement, and cross-functional collaboration to create scalable and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with Other Teams: Collaborate with other teams for accurate forecasting, budgeting, and rostering to ensure excellent service delivery within a scalable and managed commercial model.
  • Lead and Support a High-Performing Team: Lead and support a high-performing team by providing clear leadership, direction, and support, ensuring employees have a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Manage Performance: Manage performance through timely feedback, formal evaluations, and by offering mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Oversee Recruitment and Onboarding: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training programs to build and maintain a skilled and motivated team.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with clinical practice guidelines, regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies as established by the Medical Director.
  • Develop Quality Assurance Programs: Develop and implement quality assurance programs to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction, continually improving service delivery.
  • Conduct Regular Audits and Reviews: Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to maintain high standards of care.
  • Foster a Collaborative Environment: Foster a collaborative environment within the nursing department and with other departments to ensure cohesive operations.
  • Serve as a Liaison: Serve as a liaison between non-clinical staff and clinical leaders to facilitate effective communication and support.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including staff, patients, and external partners, to ensure transparency and alignment.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration or Business: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ Years of Experience in Business Operations: 10 years + of experience in business operations, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Healthcare Industry Experience: 3 years + of healthcare industry experience, preferably with a clinical nursing or pharmacy background.
  • Proven Experience in Telehealth: Proven experience in a telehealth or remote healthcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and complex operations within a commercial environment effectively.
  • Strong Knowledge of Healthcare Regulations: Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and operational best practices.
  • Proficiency in Healthcare Management Software: Proficiency in healthcare management software and experience using data to lead teams.
  • Excellent Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Abilities: Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and personnel effectively.
