Industrial Relations Manager

About the Role
CITIC Pacific Mining Management is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Relations Manager to lead the IR strategy for the business and our workforce. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of industrial relations legislation and trends, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement approved IR/ER contingencies/plans to minimize the impact on the business;
- Keep abreast of industrial relations legislation changes and trends, and guide senior management and the business on these;
- Manage union visits and communications with all unions across the business, including the interface at a state and federal level;
- Manage and lead industrial negotiations, collective/individual grievances, industrial action, union official breaches under the Act, and any adverse/unfair dismissal claims;
- Manage and coordinate the interface with legal employment practitioners on various IR/ER matters.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources/Employee Relations;
- Solid experience in industrial relations, ideally in the mining/resources industry;
- Proven leadership and practical industrial relations experience gained from multi-union mining and construction sites;
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to consult at all levels of the business;
- A current WA Manual Drivers licence is an essential requirement.
