Job Description

We are seeking a skilled investigator to lead investigations into serious incidents, complaints, and allegations. The successful candidate will gather and analyse evidence with precision, empathy, and procedural fairness.

  • Support continuous improvement by identifying trends and embedding safer practices across services.

This role requires relevant qualifications in social work, disability, child protection, or related fields, experience in investigations within OOHC, disability, or health sectors, strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills, and a commitment to safeguarding, quality, and professional growth.

You will also need a National Police Check, Working with Children Check, and NDIS Workers Screening Check, which we can support you in obtaining.

Key Responsibilities:

Serious Incident Investigations

The successful candidate will lead investigations into serious incidents, complaints, and allegations, gathering and analysing evidence with precision, empathy, and procedural fairness.

Regulatory Compliance

The candidate will engage with regulators like NDIS Commission, Child Protection, Ombudsman, and WorkSafe to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Reporting and Documentation

The successful candidate will deliver clear, trauma-informed reports and outcome letters that drive corrective action, as well as maintain accurate and detailed records of investigations and findings.

Continuous Improvement

The candidate will support continuous improvement by identifying trends and embedding safer practices across services, contributing to a culture of safety and quality.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

This role requires a Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) or equivalent, relevant qualifications in social work, disability, child protection, or related fields, experience in investigations within OOHC, disability, or health sectors, strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills, and a commitment to safeguarding, quality, and professional growth.
