Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bar Operations Assistant to join our team at Pier One Sydney Harbour. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of our bar, ensuring exceptional guest service and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily operations of the bar, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service by providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere, responding to guest inquiries, and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Maintain the highest standards of quality and safety in the bar, including adhering to health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Assist with staff training and development, including providing feedback and coaching to ensure staff are meeting expectations.
  • Participate in department meetings and contribute to the development of strategies to improve guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 3 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, preferably in a bar or restaurant setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, staff, and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures, with the ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
