We are looking for a highly skilled Food Product Developer to take ownership of the end-to-end creation of dry food products for the food service sector. This autonomous role requires a deep understanding of technical expertise and customer engagement, working on everything from stocks and seasonings to coatings, sauces, and functional blends.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the formulation and development of dry food products from concept to launch, balancing customer briefs with proactive innovation to maintain a competitive edge.
- Translate customer requirements into high-performance, shelf-stable formulations that meet all relevant standards and regulations.
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure seamless scale-up and first production runs, managing costings and ingredient functionality to optimize margins.
- Degree in Food Science or related discipline, with 5+ years' experience in NPD ideally in dry food formulation for food service.
- Strong technical knowledge in seasonings, coatings, gravies, sauces, and functional ingredients, with excellent problem-solving skills and project management capabilities.
- Proven customer-facing capability with strong communication skills, able to work effectively across different departments and levels within the organization.
As a Food Product Developer, you will be responsible for leading the formulation and development of dry food products, working closely with customers to understand their requirements and develop innovative solutions that meet their needs. You will have a strong background in food science and technology, with excellent technical knowledge of seasonings, coatings, gravies, sauces, and functional ingredients.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Food Science or a related discipline, with at least 5 years' experience in NPD ideally in dry food formulation for food service. They will possess excellent problem-solving skills and project management capabilities, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across different departments and levels within the organization.
