Business Operations Manager Opportunity for Growth

Key Responsibilities

This role is part of a broader risk management function that spans multiple divisions across various sectors. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing thorough risk and control assessments to identify weaknesses and inefficiencies, and collaborating with senior management to develop targeted action plans for improvement.
  • Partnering with subject matter experts to design and implement effective risk management strategies, and working closely with the first line of defense to prioritize risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Maintaining oversight of key governance, risk, and compliance tools to ensure accurate and comprehensive data, and assisting with regular monitoring and reporting activities.

As a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, you will leverage your in-depth understanding of operational processes to drive meaningful improvements and enhance the overall control environment.

Executing control testing and collaborating with colleagues to refine approaches and optimize outcomes are also critical components of this role.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this position, candidates must possess:

  • Significant experience in Line 1 or 2 Risk and Audit functions within financial services or top-tier consulting firms.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and testing controls through internal control assurance, regulatory audits, and/or internal audit practices.
  • A proven ability to build strong relationships and manage diverse stakeholder groups, particularly within a Line 1 or Line 2 risk management context.

Nice-to-have qualifications include exposure to executive-level interactions, experience with risk transformation initiatives, knowledge of best-practice risk and compliance frameworks, and experience working within corporate services divisions (finance, legal, people & culture/HR).
