Geotechnical Engineer

Overview of the role involves delivering geotechnical investigations, analysis and reporting. Key responsibilities include undertaking pavement design and condition assessments, conducting slope stability analysis and remediation planning.

Possible career progression includes becoming a Senior Geotechnical Engineer or moving into part-ownership with continued growth and development in geotechnical techniques.

  • Deliver geotechnical investigations, analysis, and reporting
  • Undertake pavement design and condition assessments
  • Conduct slope stability analysis and remediation planning
  • Supervise drilling, log boreholes, and conduct site / soil testing (DCP, Shear Vane, LWD, FWD)
  • Oversee laboratory testing programs and earthwork compaction / control testing
  • Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and specifications
  • Assist with tenders and proposals, attend client meetings

Key skills and qualifications required for this position include:

  • Degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Engineering Geology
  • 3+ years' geotechnical site investigation / reporting experience
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Australian driver's licence, White Card, and full local working rights
