About the PositionThis role offers an even-time roster, providing flexibility for personal pursuits outside of work.
You will report directly to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor and be responsible for safe and effective mechanical maintenance activities on process plant equipment, adhering to the maintenance schedule and established work instructions.
Key Responsibilities- Commit to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development across the business.
- Improve preventative maintenance strategies continuously.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, focusing on safety and reliability.
- Initiate and complete work orders, ensuring timely close-out and reporting feedback information to relevant parties.
- Complete tasks based on priority, adhering to quality requirements and company standards.
- Respond immediately to break-downs, diagnose issues, scope repairs, and maintain plant uptime by working closely with operations.
- Assess, repair, and strip mechanical equipment on site.
- Scope corrective work orders for the work planning process.
- Monitor and order mechanical consumables as required.
- Undertake relief positions within relevant skills and competencies to support operations.
- Engineering Tradesperson (Mechanical) Qualification.
- Minimum five years' experience in fixed plant maintenance within a chemical processing or refining facility.
- Rotating equipment experience in a mechanical discipline with routine monitoring/lubrication tasks.
- Commitment to facilitating and maintaining site lubrication facilities.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with team members and liaise with all levels of the organization.
- High Risk License preferably EWP, Dogman, and Forklift.
- Commitment to training and up-skilling self and team members.
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks.
- Sound verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with MS Office suite applications.
- Current 'C' Class driver's licence.
- Condition Monitoring / Lubrication Courses.
- SAP experience.
- High risk license - CN, C6, Basic rigging, EWP, and Dogman.
- Supervised Gas Fitter.
- National accreditation Confined Space.
- National accreditation Working at Heights.
