Program Coordinator Role

This role involves overseeing and coordinating the operational running and program delivery at various locations, including associated transition placements.

The position is responsible for day-to-day operational coordination and leadership of these locations and support programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with caregiver recruitment and facilitating induction to the role and program.
  • Fostering a trauma-informed approach and embedding it with all caregivers.
  • Working collaboratively with practice leads to prepare and assess new referrals for presentation at assessment panel meetings.

Additionally, the program coordinator will be responsible for case management and development/review of client plans with each program participant. This includes assisting and supporting transitions and case management of participants moving in, out, or between different service tiers.

To succeed, a tertiary qualification from a recognized university or TAFE college in youth work, social work, or psychology is required, along with a minimum of 5 years' experience working with young people in a residential care setting.

A proven track record in program coordination and leadership of a team is necessary to successfully support program delivery.
