We're looking for an experienced Supply Chain Operations Manager to lead our cold storage operations at Truganina, Australia.

As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for driving performance in the achievement of established goals, ensuring customer service levels are maximised and supply rates are achieved on an ongoing continuous basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing warehouse and distribution centres with a proven track record of achieving positive operational outcomes, superior leadership skills, and excellent knowledge of supply chain logistics within an FMCG environment.

You'll also need to demonstrate a strong analytical mindset, effective P&L and budget management skills, and excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

In this role, you'll partner with internal stakeholders to ensure relevant policies and procedures are clearly defined, communicated, and effective, drive corrective and preventative safety programs with a focus on behavioural safety, and identify, drive, and embed continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team to achieve individual, team, and overall site objectives
  • Drive performance on a daily basis across the distribution centre, ensuring delivery on time-sensitive supply chain deadlines
  • Establish and maintain programs for quality assurance, inventory control, and labour optimisation
  • Partner with internal and external customers to meet despatch function and associated service level requirements
  • Assist in developing reporting for key operational indicators, including throughput rates and inventory control

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in an FMCG environment
  • Demonstrable understanding of cold chain operations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and HACCP
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Total Productive Manufacturing, LEAN/Six Sigma
  • Strong analytical skills, with effective P&L and budget management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders
