Medical Education Leader (Clinical Curriculum Director)

About the Role

This senior leadership position provides clinical direction and works in partnership to manage all clinically related aspects of the program. You will contribute to governance of the MD Program, lead curriculum design and delivery, oversee placements, and ensure best practices in clinical learning and teaching.

As the lead practitioner representing the MD program in university and external settings, you will play a critical role in shaping graduate outcomes and maintaining national medical education standards.

About You

You will hold unrestricted medical registration and postgraduate qualifications in a medical discipline, along with a current or anticipated specialist appointment with primary employment at ISLHD. Strong leadership and administrative capabilities, ongoing professional practice commitment, and experience in curriculum delivery/development within a medical school or medical training environment are essential.

Proven leadership in medical education, team-building, mentoring, and collaboration are required. You must also be able to work effectively with both hospital-based and community-based medical practitioners and participate in governance and service activities within the university and professional associations.

Key Requirements
  • Maintain ongoing clinical employment within ISLHD and have unconditional registration as a medical practitioner within NSW.
  • Comply with occupational assessment screening and vaccination against specified infectious diseases policy directive.
