About Our Leadership Development Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate professional to join our team as a Leadership Development Specialist. This role is situated within our Leadership and Professional Growth Team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop Assistant Principals and Middle Leaders through coaching and mentoring, promoting reflective practice for ongoing professional growth and development.
  • Design and implement differentiated professional learning pathways aligned to the AITSL Standards, supporting leadership development from emerging leaders through to executive roles.
  • Facilitate structured induction and ongoing leadership development programs for school-based leaders.
  • Evaluate leadership development by tracking the growth, effectiveness, and impact of school leaders and assessing program outcomes and leadership capacity needs.
  • Support the delivery and monitoring of the System Professional Learning Strategy to promote continuous growth and system-wide improvement.
  • Facilitate appraisals for Assistant Principals, Middle Leaders, and other school leaders in alignment with Catholic education leadership expectations.
Main Selection Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience leading the development of Middle Leaders in a school environment.
  • Ability to design and implement differentiated professional learning pathways.
  • Extensive experience facilitating structured induction and ongoing development programs for educational leaders.
  • Current understanding of leadership theory and evidence-based practices in educational settings.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
  • Masters of Educational Leadership or relevant post-graduate equivalent.
  • Extensive experience at a Principal/Assistant Principal leadership level or system equivalent.

This role requires a deep understanding of Catholic education mission, values, and leadership expectations.

A strong ability to think, plan, and act strategically to support consistency and cohesion across initiatives is essential.
