Research Impact Officer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Research Impact Officer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading knowledge translation initiatives, developing project plans, driving stakeholder engagement, and producing high-quality documentation.

  • This is a part-time opportunity working 80% of full-time hours with a salary range of $102,565 - $111,686 + 17% Superannuation.
  • The ideal candidate will have a relevant bachelor's degree and substantial experience or an equivalent combination of education and professional expertise.

About the RoleMain Responsibilities:
  1. Lead Knowledge Translation Initiatives: Coordinate KT activities, deliver the annual scientific summit, and other flagship projects.
  2. Develop and Implement Project Plans: Design project frameworks, ensure compliance with timelines and methodologies, and monitor progress against deliverables.
  3. Drive Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal and external partners, and coordinate education sessions, events, and engagement activities.
  4. Produce High-Quality Documentation: Prepare project plans, reports, evaluation tools, communication materials, and resources to support knowledge sharing.
  5. Provide Advice and Support: Contribute subject matter expertise and project management guidance to strengthen impact and reach.
About You

The successful candidate will have proven ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver projects, with strong skills in prioritising tasks, meeting deadlines, and resolving issues. They should also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, sound judgement in interpreting complex situations, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Apart from this, the ideal candidate should possess advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to tailor messages to different audiences, as well as experience in media, marketing or business strategies that enhance research impact and reach.
