Strategic Communications Specialist

The Senior Communication and Engagement Advisor plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing communication strategies to support the delivery of high-quality infrastructure and exceptional customer service at the Victorian School Building Authority.
About the DepartmentThe department provides educational support, policy guidance, and collaborative services. It oversees Victoria's largest school building program and works with the early childhood sector on kindergarten construction.
About the PositionThis position is responsible for developing communications plans, products, and initiatives to support the authority's delivery of infrastructure and customer service. The key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and creating communications to support infrastructure delivery and program teams across the authority and broader department.
- Designing and managing specialist communications products, including ministerial event briefings, speeches, presentations, web content, social media, newsletters, emails, construction notifications, visual materials, and reports.
- Collaborating across the authority and broader Department to manage communications across the portfolio, acting as a key point of contact for multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Coordinating and attending ministerial and other in-person events as required.
The ideal candidate will possess strong stakeholder management skills, ability to navigate a large and complex organisation, and desirable qualifications in a related discipline.
The Senior Communication and Engagement Advisor will work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders to develop and implement effective communication strategies. This includes creating engaging content, managing multiple projects, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
