Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Midnight Operations Lead to join our team at Mercure. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take their career to the next level in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overnight operations of our resort, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This will include working closely with the Night Manager to ensure seamless day-to-day operations, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and be comfortable working overnight shifts across a 7-day roster.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Night Manager with daily balancing and reconciliation across the night audit process
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest requests promptly and efficiently during check-in, check-out and throughout their stay
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in relation to credit and cash transactions and accounting documentation
  • Assist guests with luggage and other concierge duties as required
  • Take responsibility for Manager on Duty tasks and responsibilities in their absence
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience in a Front Office department within a Hotel or Resort
  • Able to work overnight shifts across a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays
  • Previous Night Audit experience preferable
