We are seeking a seasoned Head Squad Coach to spearhead our squad's success. This pivotal role requires a highly skilled and motivated individual with a passion for mentoring and coaching. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing competitive squad training programs, facilitating athlete pathways through regional, state, and national competitions, collaborating with the swimming committee to foster relationships with stakeholders, planning, coordinating, and evaluating the squad program to meet business objectives, and developing junior coaches professionally.Key responsibilities include:
  • Design and implement robust squad training programs that drive results
  • Develop and execute effective athlete development strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including community sporting bodies, parents, and swimming committee members
  • Collaborate with the swimming committee to create a positive and inclusive environment
  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate the squad program to ensure alignment with business objectives
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a competitive squad environment, a willingness to grow and develop as a coach, experience coaching National Age & open qualifiers, good standing with Swimming NSW/Swimming Australia, current ASCTA Silver Licence / Advanced Licence or equivalent, Working with Children's Check, First Aid and CPR, and the ability to maintain high standards under pressure.In return, we offer a supportive and inclusive team culture, onsite parking available, and uniforms provided.
