The role involves leading squads, fostering inclusive engineering cultures, and driving excellence in standards, patterns, automation, CI/CD, testing, and documentation. Strong collaboration with product, risk, security, and stakeholder teams is essential to align strategy, manage trade-offs, and communicate progress effectively.
Key responsibilities include guiding roadmaps, balancing resilience and feature delivery, and removing impediments to enable the squad to move fast with quality. A deep understanding of scaling platforms using AWS and modern tooling is also necessary, along with expertise in SRE principles, capacity planning, performance engineering, and cost optimization.
As a senior engineer, you will be expected to work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities, develop solutions, and drive implementation.
Qualifications for this role include:
- Experience in leading squads or small teams and developing inclusive engineering cultures.
- Strong knowledge of API design, cloud native architectures, event streaming, and observability practices.
- Ability to partner with product, risk, security, and stakeholder teams to align strategy and manage trade-offs.
- Deep understanding of SRE principles, capacity planning, performance engineering, and cost optimization.
