Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team at KINNECT. As a Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant, you will play a critical role in helping individuals return to work after injury and preventing workplace injuries from occurring in the first place.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver workplace rehabilitation services that help individuals engage in meaningful occupations through a client-centered approach, promoting optimal health and well-being.
  • Assess injured workers to determine the best strategies for facilitating their return to work.
  • Visit workplaces to understand the challenges injured workers may face and educate employers on injury prevention.
  • Provide clinical opinions and justifications through detailed report writing.
  • Case manage complex injuries and coordinate with treating doctors and health professionals to support injured workers in their recovery and return to work.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-employment assessments, including drug & alcohol testing, audiology, spirometry, vision, and functional testing.
  • Develop job dictionaries.
  • Perform manual task risk assessments.
  • Lead interactive manual handling training and implement stretching and warm-up programs.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments in workplace, home, and vehicle settings.
Requirements:
  • Professional Accreditation: Current registration with AHPRA, ESSA accreditation, or ASORC/RCAA accreditation.
  • Analytical Expertise: Excellent analytical and report writing skills.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic team environment.
