Job Opportunity: Mechanical Maintainer

About the Role:

The Mechanical Maintainer will be responsible for performing inspections and carrying out maintenance duties in the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and breakdown maintenance activities.
  • Complete allocated preventative maintenance tasks and inspections as assigned.
  • Provide a timely response to maintenance issues to ensure targets are met.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including production and safety improvements.
  • Step-up into supervisor and/or planner roles.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in CHPP or heavy industry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively by sharing knowledge with others and helping the team.
  • Pro-active approach to problem-solving with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Industry relevant qualifications (High Risk licenses).
  • Sound computer literacy, preferably with an understanding of SAP systems.
  • Experience supervising and/or planning.
