Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team in the beautiful Hunter Valley region. As a Mechanical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing routine and breakdown maintenance activities in the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP).

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of experience in CHPP or other heavy industry, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure. You will be required to conduct inspections and complete allocated preventative maintenance tasks and inspections as assigned.

You will also be responsible for providing timely responses to maintenance issues to ensure targets are met, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and stepping up into supervisor and/or planner roles as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in CHPP or other heavy industry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively by sharing knowledge with others and helping the team.
  • Pro-active approach to problem solving with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Industry relevant qualifications, including High Risk licenses.
  • Sound computer literacy, preferably with an understanding of SAP systems.
  • Experience supervising and/or planning.
