We are seeking an Environmental Consultant to join our team in Queensland.

As an Environmental Consultant, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of natural resource management and infrastructure projects for both public and private sector clients. You will work collaboratively with leading experts in Terrestrial, Marine, and Aquatic Ecology within a supportive, multidisciplinary team, gaining exposure to exciting projects across the Asia Pacific region.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Expert knowledge of ecological principles and practices.

  • Strong identification skills in Queensland flora, fauna, and ecological communities.

  • At least 2 years of post-graduate experience in consulting, construction, or regulatory environments.

  • Familiarity with Queensland Regional Ecosystem and Biocondition frameworks (or working towards).

  • Proficiency in GIS and field mapping tools, as well as MS Office.

  • A solid understanding of environmental legislation and approvals processes at all levels of government.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide expert ecological advice on a wide range of infrastructure and natural resource management projects.

  • Conduct desktop and field-based ecological surveys and impact assessments, focusing on terrestrial ecosystems, flora and fauna, biodiversity, and habitat.

  • Prepare high-quality technical reports, environmental analyses, and mapping outputs.

  • Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated environmental and ecology work packages.

  • Engage with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project success.

  • Highly developed problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Possess a current driver's license.
