ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGER

The Environmental Manager will be responsible for end to end management of environmental projects, liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders and providing practical solutions to mitigate loss and reduce costs for insurance and non-insurance related environmental incidents.

We are currently looking for an experienced Environmental Manager to join the team based in Sunshine Coast, QLD on full-time basis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders to sustainably develop and grow the Repair Solutions environmental portfolio
- Provide environmental remediation consultation services
- Provide waste management consultation services to claims in general,
- Ensuring all relevant project stakeholders are on track and well-informed to deliver the desired outcome
- Manage the development and implementation of environmental management systems within the organisation
- Source sustainable partners to effectively deliver Repair Solution services for Environmental losses
- Effectively partnering with business stakeholders and external vendors
- Identify, solve and alleviate environmental issues in compliance with environmental legislation and to ensure corporate sustainable development
- Manage and assess environmental related claims including scope of works, tracking progress and ensuring relevant reports are provided in a timely manner to each stakeholder
- Providing up-to-date analysis and reporting on delivery timelines and dependencies to the management team
- Following the company initiative management framework including governance requirements
- Compliance to Environmental law and relevant requirements

About you/past experience:

- Diploma in Environmental management:

- Asbestos dust decontamination & abatement
- Product recall destruction and waste beneficiation
- Post fire damage or natural disaster impact,
- Experience in managing environmental risks caused by large chemical factory & facility fires
- PCB Transformer and capacitor clean-up projects,
- Coastal oil pollution
- Goods in transit incidents and accidents
- Commercial building fires
- Exportation of waste and management of high hazardous waste,
- Soil remediation and rehabilitation
- Persistent organic pollutants (POP) - Pesticides & PCB clean-up
- Managing Oil and gas claims and related environmental impacts.
