A challenging role awaits an experienced Truck Chassis Technician in our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety and quality work.

  1. Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining intermodal chassis, including braking systems, lights, suspensions, landing gear, tires, and structural components.
  2. Diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical issues on chassis and related trailer equipment.
  3. Performing preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) and DOT inspections.
  4. Welding, cutting, and fabricating parts as necessary to complete repairs.
  5. Accurate documentation of repairs, work orders, and inspection forms.
  6. Safe operation of power tools, hand tools, and shop equipment.
  7. Ensuring all work complies with DOT regulations, company standards, and safety procedures.
  8. Collaboration with other technicians and departments for timely and effective repairs.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Experience in chassis/trailer repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of brake systems, lights, tires, and framework.
  • Basic welding skills preferred but not required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingsness to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Basic set of hand tools.
  • Pass a pre-employment background verification, physical, and drug screening.
  • Open availability.
