We are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Generator Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in diagnosing and repairing electronic and mechanical components of Thermo King and Carrier Genset units.

The successful applicant will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, pre-trip inspections, and container and chassis repair tasks as assigned. Additionally, they will be required to identify correct parts by consulting service and parts manuals and communicating with suppliers when necessary.

Key skills and qualifications include broad knowledge of diesel mechanics, prior experience with Thermo King and/or Carrier Genset repair, and previous container and chassis repair experience. A strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team is also essential.

In addition to the above requirements, we are looking for candidates who possess excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, a positive attitude with a safety-first mindset, and the ability to read and interpret technical documentation.

  • Diagnose and repair electronic and mechanical components of Thermo King and Carrier Genset units
  • Perform preventative maintenance and pre-trip inspections on Gensets to ensure functionality and compliance
  • Carry out container and chassis repair tasks as assigned
  • Identify correct parts by consulting service and parts manuals and communicating with suppliers when necessary
  • Operate powered industrial equipment as required for repair duties
Qualifications
  • Broad knowledge of diesel mechanics
  • Prior experience with Thermo King and/or Carrier Genset repair
  • Previous container and chassis repair experience
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
  • Effective communication skills – able to interact professionally with colleagues and clients
  • Must consistently follow company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory guidelines
  • Willingness to obtain Forklift Certification and train and mentor other employees as needed
  • Must own necessary tools for the job and pass a pre-employment background verification, physical, and drug screening
