About the Role

As a Platform Operations Manager at ING Bank N.V., you will play a critical part in driving operational excellence and ensuring the health and availability of IT systems. This role sits within the IT Leadership team and reports to the IT Area Lead – Enterprise Tribe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Incident and Problem Management

Ensure timely resolution of incident and problem tickets, maintaining a high level of service quality and minimizing downtime.

IT Risk Management

Effectively manage IT risk by providing the tribes a forward view on key focus areas and delivering on planned initiatives, ensuring the bank's strategic pillars are met.

Technology Strategy

Establish ways of working/delivery lifecycle for successful execution on the risk roadmap for the IT assets for your tribe, aligning with the bank's overall technology strategy.

Vendor Management

Manage any vendors/3rd Parties to the agreed service levels and governance standards, ensuring seamless collaboration and high-quality services.

Stakeholder Communication

Partner with senior stakeholders to communicate our risk and stability position, providing transparent and timely updates.

Collaboration and Planning

Engage with other tribe leadership teams to be involved in their planning and release processes to mitigate risks to security, reliability, and cross-functional delivery.

Requirements
  • Project Management Experience

Demonstrated experience in working and managing timely delivery of complex projects with teams spread across geographical locations.

Financial Services Experience

Experience working in Financial Services is ideal, with a good understanding of systems, DevOps, and SRE.

ITIL Certifications

ITIL certifications would be preferred, showcasing your expertise in IT service management.

Business Acumen

Good knowledge of bank applications architecture and integration with exposure to IT risk, demonstrating your business acumen and technical expertise.

Agile Delivery Experience

Experience working with Agile delivery with experience in a senior delivery or IT operations role, showcasing your ability to adapt to changing requirements.

Analytical Skills

Strong analytical skills are required as understanding of current payment system processes, ensuring you can make informed decisions.
