About the Role

As a Platform Operations Manager at ING Bank N.V., you will play a critical part in driving operational excellence and ensuring the health and availability of IT systems. This role sits within the IT Leadership team and reports to the IT Area Lead – Enterprise Tribe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Incident and Problem Management

Ensure timely resolution of incident and problem tickets to minimize downtime and maintain system availability.

IT Risk Management

Effectively manage IT risk by providing the tribes a forward view on key focus areas and delivering on planned initiatives to mitigate risks to security, reliability, and cross-functional delivery.

Technology Strategy

Lead the development and implementation of the Technology strategy for your respective domains of responsibility, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT goals.

Vendor Management

Manage any vendors/3rd Parties to the agreed service levels and governance standards, ensuring seamless delivery of services.

Stakeholder Communication

Partner with senior stakeholders to communicate our risk and stability position, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.

Collaboration and Leadership

Engage with other tribe leadership teams to be involved in their planning and release processes to mitigate risks to security, reliability, and cross-functional delivery, and lead by example in a senior delivery or IT operations role.

Requirements
  • Experience

Demonstrated experience in working and managing timely delivery of complex projects with teams spread across geographical locations, preferably in Financial Services.

Certifications

ITIL certifications would be preferred, but not required.

Skills

Good understanding of systems, DevOps, and SRE, as well as good knowledge of bank applications architecture and integration with exposure to IT risk.

Agile Delivery

Experience working with Agile delivery with experience in a senior delivery or IT operations role, with strong analytical skills required as understanding of current payment system processes.
