Food Innovation Specialist

The role of Product Developer involves leading the coordination and development of innovative, quality, and safe food and drink products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement product development strategies in line with business objectives.
- Meet performance targets for new product introductions, encompassing material costs, testing, labelling, packaging expenses, and other related factors.
- Evolve and enhance product ranges to ensure effective commercial delivery.
Customer:
- Partner with customer insights specialists and food experts to stay abreast of broader trends in food and lifestyle, packaging, design, and ingredients.
- Engage in local and international travel to identify emerging trends and integrate findings into the food strategy.
- Stay informed about retailing and industry advancements, including technological innovations, to pinpoint potential opportunities.
People:
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure they possess the necessary skills and are fully trained to deliver world-class technical and development capabilities.
- Verify that suppliers operate within due diligence and development frameworks, guaranteeing that products are safe, compliant, and meet the required quality standards expected by customers.
- Trade qualification or Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or Commercial Cookery.
- Ability to mentor and train junior team members.
