Job Title: EHS and Rail Safety Manager

This is a senior management position responsible for fostering a safe and thriving workplace. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the implementation of effective measures to control and mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive EHS risk assessments and implement measures to control and mitigate risks.
  • Guide the EHS function on site and oversee induction programs for new starters.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain procedures and tools tailored for the EHS Management System, aligning with legislative requirements and relevant standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of the site and demonstrate a strong focus on compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with site teams to foster and enhance the EHS culture and use strategic insights where needed.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety (Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or similar).
  • A deep understanding of local legal requirements, particularly in the context of rail safety.
  • The ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels within the project.
  • Previous experience in the rail industry or a similar safety-critical environment, highlighting adaptability and expertise.
  • A solid grasp of safe working systems, rules, and procedures.
