The Role

We are seeking a Commissioning Director to join our Building Engineering Services (BES) team. This position will be based out of Melbourne and will lead commissioning teams on projects.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, managing project scope and identifying opportunities to provide additional services.
  • Driving consistent communication across the organisation to support attainment of net fee booked plans.
  • Collaborating with commissioning practice leaders to define opportunities and engagement strategies for clients.
  • Serving as a key client manager for selected clients.
  • Developing and implementing business growth strategies in the commissioning market.
  • Providing technical advice to clients on project and operational risk.
  • Working closely with general contractor's team to develop commissioning strategies and processes.
  • Managing factory tests, inspections and reporting.
  • Attending project and internal meetings as required.
  • Recording meeting details and progress prerequisites.
  • Routine population and management of data in project commissioning software.
  • Providing progress reporting and final project close-out reports.
  • Arranging third-party sign-off as necessary.

About You

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (university or TAFE).
  • Green Star AP, LEED AP, CSA or LEED Associate – highly advantageous.
  • Significant experience in commissioning or facility engineering, preferably working in Data Centre / Health sectors.
  • Experience with equipment inspections.
  • Experience with Factory Witness Test / Factory Acceptance Tests.
  • Willingness to travel to site-based locations as reasonably required by HDR.
  • Commitment to quality, improvement and HDR values.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum. This is based on industry standards, location and job requirements.
