Job Overview

Amazon Web Services (AWS) operates a globally distributed cloud environment, providing virtualized infrastructure and services to businesses worldwide. The AWS Personnel Security team is responsible for managing security clearances and vetting activities for employees supporting programs.

As a personnel security specialist, you will work with industry-leading security experts to manage security clearance and vetting activities. You will have a strong track record of leading and supporting security programs, program/project management experience, knowledge of government clearance processes, and a deep understanding of government security programs and processes.

Responsibilities
  1. Process and review personnel security clearances and maintain all security documentation in accordance with government requirements.
  2. Contribute to the development and evolution of personnel security programs.
  3. Generate, track and report security metrics and activities.
  4. Monitor processes and drive improvements in efficiency and quality of our personnel security programs.
  5. Interface regularly with stakeholders to support clearance activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience working on sensitive, high-security programs or environments.
  • Demonstrated experience as an analyst or similar in a government setting.
  • Proficient with government security frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Cyber Security, IT Security Management, Government Security, Personnel Security, Security Risk Management, or related field.
  • Certificate IV in Government Security (Personnel Vetting).
