Electrical Engineer - Project Lead

The role of Electrical Engineer - Project Lead involves leading the development and implementation of engineering strategies to enhance electrical system reliability, safety, and performance.

This position requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and infrastructure, with experience in project management and team leadership. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and effective communication abilities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  •   Develop and implement electrical engineering strategies to enhance system reliability, safety, and performance.
  •   Lead projects involving electrical infrastructure and systems, including design, construction, and commissioning.
  •   Collaborate with site teams and stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation of electrical systems.
  •   Manage risks and identify opportunities for improvement across existing and future assets.
Requirements
  •   Tertiary Engineering Qualification: In a relevant field such as electrical engineering or a related discipline.
  •   Chartered Membership: Eligible for membership with Engineers Australia.
  •   Experience: A minimum of 10 years' experience in electrical engineering, open cycle gas turbine, combined cycle gas turbine, or coal fired thermal power generation plant and systems.
  •   Computer Systems: Proficient in MS Office and Plant Information System (PIS).
  •   Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical protection, arc flash, and power system design fundamentals, as well as process safety and risk assessment skills.
