You will also provide targeted financial support for site and collaborate with the commercial analyst team on ad-hoc projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Annual Budgeting Processes: Engage with stakeholders to support annual budgeting processes and monthly forecast processes.
  • Process Month-End Accounting Activities: Process month-end accounting activities, including relevant accruals, provisions, allocations, and cost transfers.
  • Manage the End-to-End Monthly Reporting Cycle: Manage the end-to-end monthly reporting cycle with detailed analysis.
  • Provide Strategic Financial Insights: Provide senior management with strategic financial insights for business strategy formulation.
  • Contribute to Medium and Long-Term Business Planning: Contribute to medium and long-term business planning and identify methods to optimise operational and production cost efficiencies, including productivity measurement.
  • Assist with Preparing and Updating Accounting Manuals: Assist with preparing and updating accounting manuals, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide Financial Guidance: Provide financial guidance on business decisions and evaluate business cases for capital proposals.
  • Deliver Professional Financial Assessments: Deliver professional financial assessments and recommend strategies to enhance business performance.
  • Travel to Site: Requirement to travel to site on a fortnightly basis.
Requirements
  • Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business Degree: Accounting, finance, commerce, or business degree or equivalent – CPA or CA accreditation will be well regarded.
  • Microsoft Excel and Power BI Proficiency: Intermediate/advanced level of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power BI proficiency.
  • SAP ERP System Experience: Exposure to SAP ERP system.
  • Management Accountant Experience: Management accountant experience within a medium to large size organisation.
  • Monthly Cost Accounts and Forecast Reports: Experience preparing monthly cost accounts and forecast reports.
  • Financial Stakeholder Interaction: Ability to interact with and articulate financial requirements to internal and external stakeholders.
