Senior Dispute Resolution Specialist - Investments/Financial Planning

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in financial planning and dispute resolution. This is an 18-24 month fixed term contract opportunity for a Senior Dispute Resolution Specialist to join our team in the Investments/Financial Planning division.


Key Responsibilities
  • Review complex complaints from consumers and small businesses that have not been resolved directly with the financial firm, applying sound understanding of financial planning along with AFCA complaint resolution criteria.
  • Work with customers to gather information and understand the core issues, determining key issues and investigating further where necessary.
  • Produce clear written communications in plain English, breaking down complex information into easily understandable language.

Requirements
  • Full commitment for the duration of the project; please ensure you can see this through to completion.
  • Essential skills include demonstrated knowledge or experience in financial planning and financial services industry experience, preferably investments or legal services.
  • Desirable skills include dispute resolution experience and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience in financial planning, including organisational skills and resilience to handle difficult conversations.
  • Ability to investigate and identify gaps in information to seek appropriate information needed to form a view.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling the breakdown of complex information into simple terms.
