Unique Opportunity for a Part-time Financial Planner

We are a Franchisee of a National Financial Planning company currently seeking a Part-time Financial Planner for our Narellan office.

We are currently an all female team offering great Financial Advice to the Macarthur area. We do things a little different and are looking for the next great person to add to our team.

This will suit someone wanting to get back into the industry after time off, someone scaling down and looking for work life balance or someone who just doesn't want to work for the corporate machine.

At this time it is a part-time role only, but depending on business growth could expand to full-time. If you have an existing book of clients you could bring with you, we could also look at other options.

Reporting to the Senior Financial Planner, you must be goal-oriented, proactive and pursue excellence. You will possess strong communication and administrative skills. Client service skills must be A grade.

The role is to take over the management of existing clients in a growing practice. The role will be predominantly a servicing role looking after long term clients with the Senior Planner.

We have full back office support including paraplanning and client services.

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Provide support to the Senior Financial Planner to help free up her capacity. This will involve various tasks such as file notes, follow-up and research.
  • Actively service an existing client base and provide high quality advice to clients in a legally compliant manner.
  • Conduct client interviews according to processes detailed in the Licensee Standards.
  • Ensure all client data is accurate.
  • Liaise with the Senior Planner to develop appropriate strategies and advice according to the clients current situation and future lifestyle goals and objectives.
  • Ensure all final documented advice is accurate prior to presentation to the client and/or prospective client.
  • Conduct the Plan Presentation and Client Review Appointments according to our processes.
  • Maintain technical knowledge of products and trends in financial planning.
  • Undertake ongoing training to remain skilled in the use of (financial planning software).
  • Ensure your Training Plan objectives and requirements are met including Kaplan online training, PD days and Annual Conference attendance and other training as required.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings.
  • Other duties, related to financial planning activities, as required.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of Financial Planning experience - we will consider PY year students who are in 3rd or 4th Quarter
  • Must have appropriate Financial Planning qualifications and successfully completed the FASEA exam
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Team Player essential
  • Able to build strong, open and collaborative working relationships
  • Able to manage priorities and conflicting issues in a professional manner, maintaining discretion and strict confidentiality
