About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Product Design Lead to join our Digital and Digital Products team at RACV. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering complex strategic design initiatives that delight our customers and enable digitisation of RACV products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor and develop a talented team of product designers to drive the overall value and impact of product design at RACV.
  • Deliver new and evolved digital products to market, ensuring a human-centric experience with an uplift to business benefits.
  • Facilitate workshops, co-design and collaborative sessions to align with stakeholders and draw out innovative customer experiences and business requirements.
  • Help drive alignment on digital product design priorities and execution across RACV Group, working with Digital and Digital Product members and key stakeholders.
  • Lead and deliver multiple projects, keeping to timelines and budget.
  • Serve as the voice of the design team in discussions with stakeholders, ensuring that design considerations are integrated into decision-making processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in design, psychology, social science, entrepreneurship or business.
  • 8+ years of experience in digital product design, with at least 3+ years in leadership.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing and delivering successful digital products across various platforms and digitising analog products.
  • Proven experience in mentoring and developing design teams, with a track record of building a high-performance design practice.
  • Experience working in agile or lean environment.
  • Understanding and application of HCD, best practice customer experience, usability and accessibility standards.
