Raypirri Rom Team Leader Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated professional to support and mentor male Raypirri Rom Community Workers. This role involves supervising daily operations, promoting training and development, collaborating with Elders and internal teams, and coordinating community-based initiatives such as wellbeing camps and cultural activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily operations of the Raypirri Rom team and ensure seamless execution of tasks.
  • Promote training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with Elders and internal teams to guarantee culturally appropriate practices and effective collaboration.
  • Coordinate community-based initiatives like wellbeing camps and cultural activities to promote community engagement and well-being.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Aboriginal Community Control and self-determination principles.
  • Show unwavering commitment to supporting the challenges faced by Yolngu people in remote communities.
  • Possess a Certificate II in Community Services or equivalent experience, ensuring the necessary qualifications for success.
  • Hold a valid NT Ochre Card, confirming compliance with required standards.
  • Exhibit exceptional cross-cultural communication skills, facilitating effective interactions with diverse stakeholders.
