Male Team Leader

Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a dedicated and skilled Male Team Leader to support and mentor male Community Workers. This role involves supervising daily operations, promoting training and development opportunities, collaborating with Elders and internal teams, and coordinating community-based initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily operations and ensure culturally appropriate practices in early intervention and prevention activities.
  • Promote training and development opportunities for Community Workers.
  • Collaborate with Elders and internal teams to achieve common goals.
  • Coordinate community-based initiatives, including wellbeing camps and cultural activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control and self-determination.
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Reliability, honesty, cultural awareness, and motivation.
  • A Certificate II in Community Services (or equivalent experience).
  • A current NT Ochre Card.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary.
  • Ability to salary package up to $15,900 per annum plus a further $2,650 per annum on meals and entertainment.
  • Six weeks annual leave + 17.5% leave loading.
  • Twelve days personal and five days compassionate leave.
