We are seeking a highly skilled Bid Manager to join our Civil & Infrastructure team at McMahon Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the bid process and leading the bid team to ensure successful outcomes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the bid team to develop high-quality bids and tenders
  • Interpret and respond to bid/tender requirements, establishing strong relationships with the pre-contract team
  • Plan and execute successful strategies to develop winning bids and tenders, researching current and future market trends
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to obtain necessary information for bid compilation
  • Assess and address technical and commercial risks related to ongoing bids
  • Optimize bidding budgets and negotiate with specialist suppliers and subcontractors
  • Oversee the bid team during the bid process, ensuring internal deadlines are met and bids are submitted on time
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, or Finance
  • Demonstrated experience in civil construction or a related industry, with success in delivering to financial targets within the timeframe
  • Proven experience leading successful bids and tenders using best practices approaches
  • Experience in negotiation and a sound understanding of contract management and cost optimization
  • Government and Defence bid/tendering experience desirable
  • A high degree of attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
