At CSIRO, we're passionate about empowering our employees to deliver excellence in their roles. As a Data Centre Operations Specialist, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our national data centre infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain national data centre infrastructure, coordinating vendors and projects to meet strategic goals.
  • Optimise operations with Eco Struxure and best practices.
  • Support and manage national on-premise and colocation Data Centres, overseeing infrastructure operations, maintenance, lifecycle upgrades, and service improvements.
  • Coordinate contractors, manage project work packages, engage with vendors, and report on key metrics, with a focus on administering the Eco Struxure IT platform.
  • Deliver minor projects aligned with CSIRO's strategic goals, contributing to team strategy and best practice implementation.

The position offers a mix of remote and on-site work, with occasional interstate travel, supporting CSIRO's national research infrastructure.

You will be responsible for:

  • Actively managing, monitoring, and supporting the day-to-day operations of CSIRO's on-premise and colocation Data Centres across Australia.
