Work Health and Safety Consultant Role

The Department for Education, Children and Young People prioritises the well-being and safety of children and young people. Our mission is to ensure every child and young person in Tasmania is known, safe, well, and learning.

About This Position

This Work Health and Safety role involves supporting the planning, development, implementation, and review of WHS policies, procedures, strategies, and initiatives aligned to a strategic WHS program of work. You will provide specialist expertise ensuring comprehensive and accurate advice and support to senior management, site managers, and staff on WHS and Security and Emergency Management matters.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist knowledge on WHS and Security and Emergency Management matters.
  • Support the creation and implementation of WHS policies and procedures.
  • Offer accurate and comprehensive advice to senior management and staff on WHS matters.
Key Requirements
  • CURRENT Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - EMPLOYMENT).
