Your Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Randstad. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and detail-oriented finance professional to deliver meaningful outcomes for Queensland's communities.

As a key member of our department, you will provide expert financial advice and support, playing a critical role in coordinating financial management, ensuring compliance, and leading business improvement initiatives.

Your Contribution (Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities)

  • Financial Process Leadership: Lead end-of-month and year-end financial processes, preparing monthly accruals, reconciling general ledger accounts, generating recurring/prepayment documents, and preparing reports to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and legislation.
  • Cash Management: Monitor and review monthly cash book and corporate card reconciliations, identifying errors and analysing expenditure to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee the corporate card program, providing executive training and supporting international delegates, and act as an administrator for the Corporate Travel Management (CTM) system.
  • Payment Processing: Manage the department's vendor data processes, overseeing both domestic and international payments.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial registers and reporting activities to ensure compliance with legislation and accounting standards.
  • Policy Development: Contribute to the development and improvement of financial policies, ensuring alignment with current legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Training and Mentorship: Provide advanced training and mentorship to internal and external stakeholders, including international network partners.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaborative relationships across key stakeholders in Australia and overseas, supporting effective communication and business improvement initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate (Key Capabilities)

  • Demonstrated experience in a financial management role with strong knowledge of accounting legislation and standards.
  • Expertise in accounts payable/receivable, journal preparation, and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and implement change in client-focused environments.
  • Skill in identifying complex financial challenges and devising effective solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills and resilience, with the ability to manage competing priorities in high-pressure situations.

Estimated Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
