Job Description

The Chief Financial Operations Manager will oversee a team of accountants to deliver timely and accurate financial reports. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has excellent analytical skills. The successful candidate will lead a team, plan for the future of finance, identify areas for improvement, and use technology to streamline processes.

This position involves supporting the Corporate Reporting Manager during half-year and year-end closures. The Chief Financial Operations Manager will work closely with the FP&A team to analyze results against budgets and forecasts and collaborate with key stakeholders to manage costs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Analysis & Reporting: Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial accounting processes, ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures, and prepare detailed financial results for senior management.
  • Financial Control & Compliance: Manage and improve financial processes, policies, and internal controls, collaborate with external auditors, and ensure statutory compliance requirements are met.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
Requirements
  • A degree in a business-related discipline and accreditation with CA/CPA or equivalent is essential.
  • Previous exposure to a Group Finance role in a listed, global business or a managerial role within a Big 4 or Mid-tier auditing firm is required.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver clear accounting advice are necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, resolving complicated accounting issues, is essential.
  • A process improvement mindset and focus on collaboration are crucial.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and concisely is required.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality financial reporting and willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge are essential.
  • Mentoring and coaching skills are necessary for this role.
