- Design and implement complex infrastructure systems that are secure, scalable, reliable and aligned with performance and best practice requirements.
- Undertake project work to design, plan and implement solutions for Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
- Respond to security incidents, conduct investigations and implement mitigation measures.
- Develop and deliver cybersecurity training and awareness programs.
- Identify and resolve system infrastructure issues through root cause analysis and preventive measures.
- Manage the performance of compute, storage, network and backup infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet infrastructure needs.
- Provide guidance and mentorship within support, engineering and sales teams.
- Create and maintain documentation on system architecture, configurations, procedures and troubleshooting guides.
- 8+ years of experience as Senior or Lead Systems Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft infrastructure systems and best practices.
- Deep understanding of networking, operating systems, cloud and data center environments.
- Proven ability to mentor and lead teams in dynamic environments.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solution Architect).
- Experience with Azure (VMs, networking, Recovery Services Vault, Site Recovery).
- Windows Server core roles and features.
- Microsoft SQL and IIS administration.
- Microsoft 365 services (Entra ID/AzureAD, Global Secure Access, Exchange Online).
- Automation skills (PowerShell, PowerAutomate).
- Previous experience in a 2IC or equivalent leadership role.
- Experience within a Managed Services Provider.
