Job Title: Technical Consultant, ICT Infrastructure

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Professional Services engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering architecture, design, and delivery of complex data centre infrastructures for our customers.

As a Technical Consultant, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Seeking out and analysing customer requirements to determine the best solution for their business problems">
• Conducting user requirement analysis and making recommendations that impact technical solutions">
• Undertaking tasks requiring analysis of multiple technical alternatives, diagnosis and problem solving, then qualifying the product/service fit and defining support needs">
• Defining major technical solutions involving product and/or deployment and/or support services for clients or prospective clients enabling them to determine effective IT investment strategies">
• Developing and maintaining key artifacts such as transition plans, runbooks, operating procedures, design documents (HLD/LLD, As-Builts), and knowledge base articles">
• Ensuring documentation is version-controlled, audit-ready, and aligned with compliance and governance standards">
• Managing client expectations prior to delivery of major solutions, strategies, and architectures">
• Leading cross-functional teams through the full lifecycle of service transition and transformation">
• Translating complex technical concepts into accessible content for both technical and non-technical stakeholders">
• Taking accountability for outcomes, proactively identifying and resolving issues">
• Driving continuous improvement and innovation across project delivery">
• Embedding security best practices into all aspects of transition and transformation and promoting a security-first mindset across teams and deliverables">

Requirements:

• ">
• End-to-end experience in IT services transition and transformation">
• Experience working in project-focussed role/s with robust hands-on technical experience Data Centre and Cloud (Azure, AWS) solutions, design, implementation, and documentation">
• Extensive hands-on experience with Windows Server environments, including Windows Failover Clustering and SQL server setup">
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and MEM">
• Experience with M365 administration, security and compliance features, and user lifecycle management">
• Specialise in a technical area of data centre and service provider solutions, but comfortable discussing a broad range of IT services and solutions">
• Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and maintain a broad knowledge of industry trends and technology solutions in the market that may impact solution architecture">
• Strong stakeholder management skills and an ability to converse with those at the C-Suite level and IT Managers">
• Excellent documentation skills to create clear, structured, and comprehensive documentation across all phases of IT service transition and transformation">
