This dynamic position requires an experienced multi-media journalist with exceptional editorial prowess and a commitment to delivering high-quality content.
The key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with senior editors to manage hour-by-hour home news coverage across the UK
- Occasionally assuming sole responsibility for the news desk, making informed decisions about story deployment and content quality
- Partnering with crews and correspondents to deliver first-class coverage for television and digital platforms from location
- Developing and implementing daily news agendas and planned coverage as a News Editor in Planning
- Ensuring seamless operations and collaboration across all platforms
Key qualifications include:
- Outstanding editorial judgement and proven track record of journalistic enterprise
- Significant experience in news editing and editorial decision-making
- Exceptional communication skills
- Deep understanding of the ever-evolving media landscape and cross-platform news delivery
- Demonstrable ability to generate creative ideas and drive results
- Strong comprehension of media law and compliance issues
