Job Title: Fisheries Manager

 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fisheries Manager to join our team. As a key member of the Commercial Fisheries group, you will play a critical role in the sustainable development, management, and conservation of South Australian fisheries.

 

The primary purpose of this role is to balance competing interests and views while maintaining the primary objective of maintaining sustainable fish stocks. You will work closely with stakeholders, including commercial and recreational fishers, environmental groups, and other government departments to achieve this goal.

 

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions. You will also need to have a deep understanding of fisheries management principles and practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
