Job Overview

We are seeking a Compliance Manager to lead the development and implementation of our Compliance Management Framework, policies, and related initiatives.

The ideal candidate will act as an adviser, collaborating with stakeholders to provide compliance expertise and guidance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing a culture of compliance maturity by aligning compliance considerations with business objectives.
  • Implementing a range of initiatives as part of the Compliance Management Framework.
  • Contribute to the management of regulatory change impacting our organization, including facilitating implementation of change and updates to internal policies and procedures.
  • Managing, triaging, and assessing reported compliance incidents.
  • Creating, delivering, facilitating, monitoring, and reporting on compliance-related training, awareness, and communication initiatives.

The successful candidate will have experience in legal, compliance, and/or risk, preferably in General Insurance/ Financial Services. They will possess a strong understanding of compliance management processes and/or principles, as well as knowledge of legislation including the General Insurance Code of Practice, Insurance Contracts Act, APRA Prudential Standards, ASIC Regulatory Guides, and wider sources of regulatory obligations impacting our organization.

Key skills and abilities required include establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, presenting information, facilitating workshop discussions, delivering training, and outstanding attention to detail along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
